rear suspension rebuild

Images from the rear suspension rebuild
Rear end up in the air, ready to go... make sure to throw your rear tires under the car for extra safety in case of a failed jack stand. You can see the unwanted traction bars and home made shock mount extensions
Old sagging leaf spring, frozen air shock and traction bars removed
The air shock was frozen solid. No wonder it rode like hell!
You can see the home made shock extensions, that the previous owner had finely crafted, here (sarcasm).
New passenger side shocks, shock plate, U-bolts, spring and hanger installed. Now onto the drivers side
What a load of rusty scrap.
Passenger side finally done, same as the drivers side. Also stripped and painted the brake drum black as I think it will look better showing through the new rims
